My Approach
As a practitioner, I take an integrative approach to treating patients by drawing on my expertise in CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release®, Myofascial Release, bioresonance therapy and other modalities. My goal is to create an individualized treatment plan that takes into account the patient’s unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. During the initial 20-minute chat, I get to know you and your health history, allowing me to assess your situation and make recommendations for a treatment plan. The first session involves a treatment where I focus on listening to your body and learning about your condition. By doing so, I can provide an effective and tailored approach to support you on your healing journey.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions required depends on the patient’s individual needs and goals. After the initial session, I will recommend a treatment plan that includes the number of sessions needed for optimal results.
What should I wear during the treatment?
It is recommended that patients wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Tight clothing may restrict movement and limit the effectiveness of the treatment.
How does CranioSacral Therapy work?
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle technique that involves light touch on specific points on the head, neck, and spine. It releases restrictions in the connective tissues and stimulates the body’s natural healing processes.
Is there any condition for which CST shouldn’t be used?
There are certain situations where application of CST would not be recommended. These include conditions where a variation and/or slight increase in intracranial pressure would cause instability. Acute aneurysm, cerebral hemorrhage or other preexisting severe bleeding disorders are examples of conditions that could be affected by small intracranial pressure changes.
How can Neurodevelopmental Therapy benefit my child?
Neurodevelopmental Therapy can assist children with a variety of learning challenges , cerebral palsy, ADHD, autism, anxiety disorders and more. It aims to improve sensory processing, motor skills, and cognitive development through reflex integration movements thereby tapping into the potential of neuroplasticity.
Will I feel any discomfort during the treatment?
CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Therapy are non-invasive techniques that are generally very gentle and relaxing. Some patients may experience slight discomfort or sensitivity during the treatment, but this is usually mild and short-lived.
What exactly is SomatoEmotional Release?
Somato-emotional release is a way to support the release of emotional memories that were unable to be processed at the time. Under stress, our repeated feelings of fear, anger, disappointment, resentment, etc., shut down and get stored in the body. Somato-emotional release gives the body permission to let go of the memories it is holding on to.
How Does SER relate to CST?
SER was a term coined by Dr John E. Upledger to describe a naturally occurring process often observed during craniosacral therapy treatment. It describes the natural phenomenon whereby an emotional release occurs simultaneously with a release in the tissues of the body, during a craniosacral therapy session. The SER can be associated with memories of past events and the process aids the release of stress and emotion from the body.
